Homestead certificate, 1874.

Homestead certificate No. 1815, application No. 3305, for land in Osceola County assigned to Payne by the General Land Office in Ionia (Mich.) on Sept. 20, 1874. The certificate was signed by Ulysses S. Grant, President, A. Williamson, Secretary, and L.K. Lippincott, Recorder, General Land Office. The printed form has additional information added by hand. The certificate was recorded in v. 4, p. 315. The ink on the certificate is faded and difficult to read.
