Lamenting that he had to cut short his cruise because his "nervous pains and susceptibilities to changes in the temperature increased as soon as [he left] the shore"; telling her that he intends to go to Naples and perhaps Sicily for the winter; mentioning a trip to the Isle of Man "to look at certain localities which [he] may want to turn to literary account."
