[Letter, 1794 Oct. 21, Fetter Lane, London] [manuscript]. [1794]

Letter from Christian Ignatius Latrobe addressed to "Revd. Sir", probably Thomas Williams or Matthew Wilks; Latrobe notes that he has enclosed a copy of his 'History of the mission of the United Brethren among the Indians in North America', which he translated from the German of George Henry Loskiel, and discussing the process and results of his translation; Latrobe closes the letter by asking the recipient if he "will kindly admit some notice of the book into your Evangelical Magazine", likely referring to 'The evangelical magazine', a monthly serial begun in 1793 and edited by Thomas Williams and Matthew Wilks.
