The Bailey Daniel Webb photographs date from circa 1885 to 1973 and consist of black-and-white photographic prints depicting Webb family members and family homes; students and faculty in chemistry, biochemistry and medicine at the University of North Carolina during the period from 1937 to 1941, when Bailey Webb was enrolled there; M.J. Rosenau of the UNC School of Public Health; and images of public health clinics, patients (African American women and children), and staff in Oxford, Berea, and Weldon, N.C., during the 1940s, when Kate Webb Williamson served in those areas as a nurse. Also included is an image from 1973 of Kate Williamson receiving the Margaret Dolan award from UNC-Chapel Hill.

Milton J. Rosenau was commissioned as an assistant surgeon in the U.S. Marine Hospital Service (now the U.S. Public Health Service) in 1890.
