Florence Crittenton Home for Unwed Mothers Collection, 1955-1973.

This collection consists primarily of documents regarding the governance of the Florence Crittenton Home in Atlanta during the 1960s and 1970s. The bulk of the papers consist of minutes from meetings of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees Manual, containing by-laws and historic background information, is also part of the collection, as are several lists of past Presidents and volunteers at the Crittenton Home. In addition, there are a variety of newsletters written and published for the residents of the home and for supporters of the facility. The collection also documents the history of the organization through several scrapbooks and newspaper clippings files. The scrapbooks document activities at the Crittenton Home as early as 1930.
