Autograph letter signed from Charles Manley to Charles Kean [manuscript], 1851 September 10.

At Mr. Webster's request, Manley acknowledges the receipt of Kean's note. Webster has demonstrated the desire to obey the command of Her Majesty by offering all the resources of his two theaters. However, remembering the unpleasant occurrences of the last year, he declines entering into a correspondence with Kean on the subject of his note.
