Charles D. Campbell papers 1903-2001

This collection consists of letters to and from Charles D. Campbell dealing with his tobacco business, his farm near Hopkinsville, Ky. and some property bonds he is handling for his friends, W., A. and G. Maxwell Co., Ltd. of England. The farm letters deal with rental fees and the right-of-way issue with an electric power company. The bonds pertain to property in Louisville. The tobacco letters deal with the West African tobacco trade and the processing of the tobacco. There are also several letters dealing with trade in South America and the West Indies. There are many personal letters with Campbell's friends and business partners in England and Ireland.
