Folder 23 contains archivally copied newspaper clippings about three separate Alva Adamses: the ex-governor, the former U.S. Senator Alva B. Adams, and Alva B. Adams who was the son of Senator Adams. The clippings date from 1905 to 1956. Folder 24 contains correspondence, pamphlets, two excerpts from the Congressional Record, and other printed materials pertaining to one or another Alva Adams.

The Adams family was long prominent in Colorado government and politics. Alva A. Adams moved to Pueblo, Colo., in 1871, and later served as governor of the state. Alva B. Adams, son of the Governor, represented Colorado in the U.S. Senate during 1923-1924 and from 1932 until his death in 1941. The Senator's son, Pueblo businessman Alva B.
