The Harvard Electric Club was founded in 1889 to promote the study of electricity. The Club dissolved circa 1891, but was revived in 1893. Interest in the club may have faded the next year, due to the formation of the broader Harvard Engineering Society, but club activity seems to have picked up again in the early 20th century.
