Marshall Appointment Certificate, 1866.

Printed certificate appointing Parkhurst Marshall for the Eastern District of Michigan, signed in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 17, 1866 by Pres. Andrew Johnson, and F.W. Seward, Acting Secretary of State. The certificate has a beautiful, detailed, intact seal. A photocopy of Parkhurst's Civil War military service record and photograph are included.
