Scrapbook of clippings, 1851-1854, mostly from Buffalo newspapers, regarding politics at the local, state, and national levels, with emphasis on the Whig party. Included is part of an undated Spaulding campaign speech in which he promises to prohibit the sale of intoxicating drinks if elected governor. The copy of Spaulding's will is dated 14 Feb. 1887.
