Representative Raymond C. Kehres papers, 1966-1973.

This collection consists of various legislative materials of Rep. Raymond C. Kehres of Monroe and is arranged in three series. The first series, correspondence (1971-1973), covers a variety of constituent concerns and Kehres' response to them. The second series, publicity (1966-1973), contains copies of newspaper releases and columns compiled by Kehres, used to keep constituents informed on House activities and legislation. The third series, subject files (1969-1973), contains materials on Kehres assistance in solving boundary disputes between his representative district in Mich. and parts of Ohio that bordered it; migrant workers; health care; conservation; Monroe County highways; and materials relating to diapulse machines used in Monroe County.

Raymond C. Kehres, a Democratic state representative from the 39th District, was born in Monroe County, Mich. on June 2, 1915, to Charles A. and Mabel H. Kehres. Before entering military service in 1941, where he achieved the rank of staff sergeant, he married Eleanor M. Payment. They had two children, Mrs. Judith Grounds and Robert W.
