Michael McMasters papers, 1828-1829.

This collection contains documents for a claim submitted on behalf of McMasters for Revolutionary War service. McMasters was a resident of Spencer County, Kentucky at the time this claim was filed. Included in the group is a letter to Joseph Lecompte, an U.S. Congressman from Kentucky, from the Pension Office of the (U.S.) War Department, stating that McMasters did serve in the war and might be eligible for a pension.
