Papers include Schuch's papers and those of Wilber M. Brucker. Schuch's papers consist mostly of correspondence, 1920-1951. Of particular note are letters and congratulatory notes from Michigan and national politicians, including: Michigan Gov. Fred W. Green, presidents Herbert Hoover and Franklin Roosevelt, and Michigan Sen. Arthur H. Vandenberg. There are also autograph albums, 1882-1890; a Scrapbook, 1918, 1926 (one oversized v.), with newspaper clippings documenting his campaigns for sheriff in 1922 and 1925; and miscellaneous. Brucker's papers consist of biographical materials, 1913 and undated, and a scrapbook, 1920-1930s, documenting his political career.

Schuch and Brucker were friends and political allies. Schuch, born Aug. 13, 1887 in Saginaw (Mich.), was educated in Saginaw, and owned and operated the Schuch Hotel.
