The collection consists of correspondence, Remington letters, and research notes, and notes on various aspects of Canton, Cranberry Lake, and local families (Ogdens and Macomb). The collection also includes many photographs of Canton, Cranberry Lake, and local families (Ogdens and Macomb). Also included are numerous newspaper clippings, scarpbooks, and taped interviews with Manley. These tapes cover many aspects of Canton and St. Lawrence University history such as the county fair, Adirondack duides, Remington, Rushton canoes, the St. Lawrence Plaindealer, Owen D. Young, early college history, Ernest Robinson, the St. Lawrence Seaway, Richardson Hall, Irving Bacheller, Canton hotels, mills, churches, A. Barton Hepburn, the history of the St. Lawrence University Theological School and Albert Crary. The collection was donated to St. Lawrence University, in 1989.
