Prediction of "De-ka-na-wi-dah" : of North American empire, the way it shall fall and be destroyed, [189-?].

Manuscript signed by Seth Newhouse and in his handwriting, composed sometime after the Dawes Act in 1887. The essay summarizes the prediction of De-ka-na-wi-dah, an Iroquois prophet and statesman of the late fifteenth century, that Indian nations would be overwhelmed by a "Black Cloud" (white civilization); it offers current examples of the fulfillment of the prediction and discusses the coming millennium. Newhouse also notes the duplicity of whites as evidenced by their land deals and ministers.
