Negotiolum bellae. [1742-1749]

Manuscript commonplace book begun by Catherine Springett of Eastry, Kent. The volume contains poetry and prose extraces in Springett's hand as well as contributions from her friends. Some poetry appears to be original, but works by poets such as Pope, Addison, Milton, Elizabeth Carter and Katherine Philips are also included.
