Speech, Apr. 4, 1844, delivered by La Fort on behalf of the Onondagas to the Great Father, presumably New York governor William Bouck, regarding the tribe's desire to contest land claims of persons claiming Onondaga descent, to preserve all remaining lands, and to receive only the interest, not the principal, for lands sold previously.
