The collection consists of the research files of C. Eric Lincoln from 1957-1994. Includes correspondence, postcards, audio tapes, manuscripts, pamphlets, books, sheet music, photographs, book galleys, and journals. Materials documenting Lincoln's research for his book BLACK MUSLIMS IN AMERICA include correspondence with Elijah Muhammad, Malcom X, and Louis Farrakhan. Correspondence and materials from Sonja Stone, William H. Turner, and Harry V. Richardson reflect their input as consultants on Lincoln's book THE BLACK CHURCH IN THE AFRICAN AMERICAN EXPERIENCE. The collection also contains information on the Wilmington Ten (1974-1980) and Mormons, cults, and sects (1963-1985).
