Published inventory historical sketch information was compiled by county officials in response to an Historical Records Survey questionnaire. Question topics include township organization; commissioner appointments; first board of supervisor minutes; county commissioners titles; current township information; tuberculosis sanatorium conditions; blind, old age, and mothers' pensions statistics; county health programs; colleges and seminaries; coal mining and railroad operations; County Farm Bureau and County Home Bureau organizations; decennial county official financial reports; courthouse construction; and public square, courthouse, and other official building sketches. County maps which show township boundary lines and legal descriptions; and publications on the county are also included.
