Checks for interest payments on new internal improvement stock and interest bonds were issued by Wadsworth and Sheldon, state agents on Bank of Commerce in New York. Each check contains date of issue and serial number, name of payee, amount paid, signature of agents and usually payee's endorsement on back of check.
