U.S. Lutheran - Roman Catholic Dialogue Files (1965-1979) contain minutes, essays, correspondence, memoranda, study materials, manuscripts and papers, and notes regarding Paul C. Empie's involvement as co-chairman of the Dialogues and editor of its publications. Included are Dialogue minutes (1972-1979); drafts and corrections of papers for the "Lutherans and Catholics in Dialogue" series; manuscript suggestions; reflections and statements by participants; and papers generated by and for the Dialogues and, in many cases, published in the "Lutherans and Catholics in Dialogue" series. Papers are largely in draft form. Final copies of volumes 1-6 of. The "Lutherans and Catholics in Dialogue" series are contained in the collection. In addition, reflections and statements by Lutheran and Catholic members regard Dialogue discussion. Study materials include papers by Dialogue members as well as other published material gathered for reference purposes.
