Ella Wheeler Wilcox letters, 1888-1917, n.d.

Wilcox writes from Narragansett Pier, R.I. to the Editor of the [New York] Sun newspaper, undated [before 12 August 1888], asking him to publish a poem for her friends in the Sunday issue, and, 12 August 1888, angrily complains that he embarrassed her by printing her request along with the poem; note from Short Beach, Conn., about her birth date, and autobiography in Aug. 1901 Cosmopolitan, ca. 1902; to illustrator [W.W.] Denslow, 9 December 1904, announcing the two books arrived and that she will send her two latest. To Mr. Stoddard from Short Beach, Conn., undated [ca. 1891-1919], with details about publishing; and to Miss Mason, 15 January 1917, clarifying her intent not to write prose again and that she is no longer interested in reform causes and organizations but will devote her time to study, meditation, prayer, and psychic research (includes a 25 January 1917 reply from Mason).
