Photostat copy and typescript of report of a reconnaissance by a regiment of mounted riflemen from Ft. Defiance to Navajo Mountain from Sept. 5-Sept. 19, 1859. The report by Walker briefly explains each days' march, including miles covered, terrain encountered and how they found the Navajo. The report mentions an accompanying map which is not present in this collection.
