Abstracts of ordnance and ordnance stores issued by the State arsenal, 1861-1871.

Ordnance supply record entries include issue date; receiving officer name, rank, and location; ownership (i.e., federal; state); supply quantity and description (e.g., musket hammers; wipers and scrapers; zinc-bound magazines; pendulum hausses; packing kegs; linstocks; canister shot; 6-pounder brass guns; .69-caliber Prussian muskets complete; .75-caliber English tower muskets; .54-caliber Deringer rifles). Also noted are the abstract and invoice numbers; invoice and shipment date; shipment means (e.g., railroad); and equipment condition (e.g., unserviceable; worn in service). One volume (January 1863 - October 1866) records only U.S. ordnance issuances to local authorities.
