Collection is comprised primarily of correspondence and invitations received by Paul Dever. Many letters are from 1939-1940 and include a large number received in 1940 as a result of Dever's nomination as the Democratic candidate for Governor of Massachusetts. Also included in the collection are copies of various court cases, campaign information, press releases and copies of speeches.
