George Frederick DeBolt journal 1921-1951.

Journal kept while studying at the University of Michigan, and the Ferris Institute. Primarily used as a daybook to record a detailed account of daily living expenses and transactions. Also includes commentary on daily events and transactions. DeBolt continued to record transactions in the book after graduation, but the entries are less detailed. Included in the volume are news clippings, photographs, programs, ticket stubs, and some correspondence. Also stored with the volume is a University of Michigan lapel pin, ca. 1920-1925.

George Frederick DeBolt (G. Fred DeBolt) was born in Freeland, Mich., and lived in Bay City, Mich., before attending the University of Michigan in 1920. In 1921, DeBolt left the University to study at the Ferris Institute. He then returned to the University of Michigan in September 1921.
