Born and raised in Utah, Theron Luke (1912-1987) was a historian, newspaper editor, and aspiring writer. He worked as the city editor for the Provo Daily Herald, and penned columns for both it and the Deseret News. Luke was also a trustee of the Utah State Historical Society and a member of the Utah State Board of History and a well-known student of early Utah and Mormon history.
