Earline Cary-Williams oral history interview, 1997.

Cary-Williams discusses the traditions, activities, outreach programs, ministries, and community involvement of Mount Zion First Baptist Church, as well as the organization of boards, groups, and programs within the church. She discusses current and former pastors J.A. Bacoats, T.J. Jemison, Washington Taylor, Gardner C. Taylor, and Charles Smith, as well as her participation in the selection process to hire Jemison as pastor. She also recounts her memories of the Baton Rouge Bus Boycott of 1953 and Jemison's leadership in the effort.
