Max M. Peet papers, 1925-1948.

The collection consists primarily of typed manuscripts of articles, correspondence, surgical illustrations and some photographs related to Peet's career as a surgeon and medical researcher. Included are typed manuscripts of articles concerning the surgical treatment of hypertension and subdural hematoma; and a transcript of a lecture delivered by Peet on infantile paralysis in 1939. Also includes one folder of miscellaneous correspondence from the period 1928-1945 related mainly to Peet's work on splanchnicectomy, and five photographs-three portraits of Peet (one with his wife) and two of Peet participating in a surgical operation.
