Correspondence concerning installing telephones on campus, 1898 August 3-October 8.

William Thompson, Jr. writes to the Executive Committee, 3 August 1898, requesting their consent to place telephones in faculty houses. They tell him to present a plan showing the placement of poles and wires for the committee to consider at their September meeting. John I. Thompson, Jr. informs the committee on 7 October 1898 that another faculty member requested a telephone. The committee declined "to authorize any further installation of lines on the college premises."
