The Richard Davis Webb collection. 1867-1872.

The majority of the letters in this collection are written to Francis Jack (Frank) Jackson, the youngest child of William Lloyd Garrison. In May 1868, Webb left for America to visit the many friends he had made in the country and to visit the nation that had occupied so much of his time and effort during the anti-slavery movement. Webb had an accident in America, from which he never fully recovered. However, he continued to be an active correspondent for the remainder of his life.
