Clark in preparing a research paper, "Cunningham Boyle: Founder of the True Light Church of Christ" (8 Dec. 1975). Supporting documentation includes typescript letters (17 July 1876 and 11 Sept. 1883) written by Boyle from Lynchburg and Greeleyville, S.C., to Daniel C. Jenkins, Union County, N.C., advising him re spiritual matters; printed obituary for Cunningham Boyle (14 May 1884); manuscript article (18 Aug. 1889), "Boyleism, the new Sect," by Mrs. M.S. Boyle, contradicting statements re doctrine of the True Light Church of Christ made by the Rev. W.L. Wait in an article from the Southern [Christian] Advocate; testimonials to the character of Cunningham Boyle by Tho[ma]s G. McLeod (12 Oct. 1918), Ellison D. Smith (21 Oct. 1918), and J.A. Rhame (22 Oct. 1918); and articles of faith of the True Light Church of Christ (1927).
