Richard W. "Witt" Yeagley began the Committee to Correct the Omission on the Old Main Frescoes Dedication Plaque. The plaque, unveiled 16 August 1985 in the lobby of Penn State's Old Main building, dedicated the frescoes by Henry Varnum Poor to the Penn Staters who had served on active military duty during World War II and those who'd been instrumental in commissioning the frescoes. Yeagley discovered that five names had been omitted and set out to collect money to have a new plaque made.
