Consisting chiefly of letters to and from such public figures as George Bush, Bill Clinton, Lyndon B. Johnson, Dick Riley, Floyd Spence, T.R. Waring, and William D. Workman, Jr., re issues of interest to Shand, including Middle East involvement, disposal of radioactive waste in South Carolina, race relations, and the Federal procurement system. Also including specimen copies of verse and published letters to newspaper editors, as well as a typescript of Shand's autobiographical account, "A Brief Outline of Occupations and Accomplishments."
