Science without borders [videorecording] : Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Baja California, May 17, 1995.

The accession consists of a video tape recording of a one-hour UCSD-TV program entitled "Science without Borders: Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Baja California" produced by Patricia L. Taylor. The UCSD-TV station director of production was Lynn Burnstan. The program includes interviews with Saul Alvarez Borrego and William Aaron Nierenberg who discuss the relationship of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography with Baja California Mexico and especially the history of the relationship between Scripps Institution of Oceanography and two Baja marine institutions, the Escuela Superior de Ciencias Marinas of the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California and the Centro de Investigaciones Cientifica y Educacion Superior Ensenada. The program also includes a description of material in the Archives of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography which documents the history of SIO research in Mexican waters, including material documenting Gulf of California Expedition and Vermillion Sea Expedition. The program was first broadcast on UCSD-TV on May 17, 1995 and was rebroadcast on May 21, 1995.
