Hutton, from Camp Bennett, Washington Territory, and addressed to Amanda Crandall at Silverton, Oregon; Hutton conveys feelings of homesickness and contempt for the character of Oregon pioneers; briefly describes skirmish with Indians near Fort Walla Walla.
