William S. Dye correspondence, 1930 May 13-26 and 1950 November 7.

Between 13-26 May 1930 Dye corresponds with Professor Arthur H. Quinn, University of Pennsylvania, concerning Quinn's student Mr. Charvat and Dye's student D.K. Merrill dividing up the study of American literary criticism to 1835. On 7 November 1950, Dye writes to Edward Steidle, Penn State professor, thanking him for a copy of his book, Mineral Industries Education (1950) and telling him of his beliefs in the need for technology students to have a firm grounding in the humanities and wishing Steindle had stressed that in his book (holograph and typescript).
