John Moody, Jr. Account book, 1733-1759.

Account book of cobbler John Moody, Jr. of Newbury, Massachusetts including records of making boots and shoes for local population. Many local people are mentioned including slaves and free blacks belonging to the them. Moody trades and barters in barrels of ale, barrels of blubber, whalebone, rope, skins, cloth, wood, rum, use of a bull, vegetables, soap, labor, and more. Moody provides mostly leather work, but also provides other goods and services such as garden tools, cloth, rum, wool, hay, etc.
