Minutes, 1895-1907.

Minutes of the Lincoln Debating Society document the organization's history and activities at Gustavus Adolphus College. The organization formed during the late 1800s as the Third Class Debating Club and was open to "any person belonging to [the] third class of the Academic Department." The group's objective was to advance "the literary culture of its members and the promotion of their interests as class members." Materials include meeting minutes, membership lists, and attendance records for some years. Although transcripts of debates are not included, there is evidence of topics discussed.
