Shaun Maloney, also known as Jack Maloney, was a fiery union activist and advocate for workers' rights whose involvement in the labor movement spanned eight decades. Shaun McGillin Maloney was born on Sept. 10, 1911, in Minneapolis. His natural father deserted the family before Maloney's birth.
