Correspondence (1944-1966) and subject files (1927-1965) kept by Geng, Holman Field director from 1927 through 1961. The files cover all aspects of his role as supervisor of airfield activities, including fueling, rentals, service, and maintenance. He also oversaw several expansions of the field. Along with correspondence, maps, graphs, leases, and memos, the files also include monthly traffic reports (1946-1957), a 1965 interview with Geng, and a 1948 history of the field covering 1926 through 1944.

From 1947 until 1970, the official observations of weather in Boulder were made under the direction of the Boulder fire chief, at the central fire station. The Boulder Fire Department also maintained a weather station at the South Side Fire Station starting in July 1958.
