Handscript recollections of Reverend Abraham Elison Garrison regarding his overland journey from Atchison County, Missouri (May 9, 1846) to the Willamette Valley, Oregon (December 1, 1846) and his forty-two years in Oregon; includes bout with rheumatism and death of son while on journey; describes travel on Applegate route to Oregon causing a great deal of emigrant suffering; accounts in Oregon concerning his ministry in Yamhill County and later life in Salem.
