Pequeña carta, que contiene la Canal de Santa Barbara en la costa septentrional de la California : corregida y enmendado por los segundos pilotos de las fragatas de S[u] Mag[estad] Princessa y Faborita en la expedicion que emprendimos por Marzo de este presente año de 82 del departam[en]to de San Blas para el socorro de los presidios y missiones desde Sn. Diego hasta Sn. Franc[isc]o y destinadas igualm[en]te abuscar fondeadero en este Canal de Sta. Barbara proximo al presidio de este nombre para su socorro por ignorarse su situacion el que encontramos el dos de Agosto, y se le puso Ensenada del Principe por disposicion del com[andan]te de la presente expedicion Dn. Esteban Josef Martinez, y no se demuestran las yslas q[u]e forman el canal por no haverse visto ning[un]a de ellas. [1908?]

Captain Esteban José Martínez set sail from San Blas, Nayarit, aboard the frigate Santiago, and carried supplies for the settlements at San Diego, Monterey, and San Francisco.
