Redmond Conyngham collection, approximately 1667-1920, bulk approximately 1887-1920.

Collection consists chiefly of graphic materials including prints, portraits, photographs, and political cartoons illustrating aspects of daily life or depicting historical and contemporary individuals, works of art, or notable places. In addition to photographs collected from published sources, one scrapbook contains a collection of photographs depicting shipboard life, recreational activities, buildings, and unidentified individuals. Notable manuscript materials in the collection include an autograph letter signed by James Buchanan, a typescript of a poem by Lloyd Mifflin, and a typescript of a page from the works of Everett Harre. The collection also includes newspaper clippings of news stories, books, and ephemera such as programs, receipts, currency, and ships passenger lists.
