Katherine Kennedy Brown was an important figure in the Ohio Republican Party from 1920 until 1968. She served as Republican National Committeewoman fromm 1932 until 1968, and as vice chairman of the national party for 8 years. She began her political activities shortly after women won suffrage in 1920. Later she helped organize the Ohio Federation of Republican Women Clubs, serving as its president from 1940 into the 1970's. She died in Dayton in 1987 at the age of 95. From the descr...
