Ship repair photographs, 1943-1961.

The photographs depict ships that were taken into the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company's shipyards for repairs. Some of the photos were taken before and some after the repairs were made. Various types of ships including U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and commercial ships are included as well as ship captains, ship owners, and shipyard workers. The back of each photo lists the ship's name, the subject of the photo (what needed to be repaired), and the date the photo was taken.
