Born at Lillehammer, Norway, son of Peter Wiig. Worked as a farm laborer on various farms, including those of Henry Richards and General Thomas Walker. Wed Martha Brudervold Siverston in 1890. Became farm manager for General Walker, Mrs. Wiig was hired as a cook. Later, they purchased a farm near the Minnesota side of the Red River, sold out three years later to purchase a hotel in Perley, Minn. They moved to Moorhead, Minn. in 1919. He died in California and was buried at Moorhead, Minn. ...
