Record of the proceedings of the Massachusetts Scientific Library Association : proprietors of the third social library in the city of Boston, 1826 Jan. 6-1827 March 17.

Minutes of meetings, which were held in the room of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences at the Boston Athenaeum on Pearl Street. The Association collected science books, with a preference for books on "mechanics and their various applications, particularly in civil engineering in the construction of roads and canals and the application of steam, water and wind to machinery - and to those on commerce, political economy and statistics ... history and literature generally to be excluded." The Association dissolved upon merging with the Boston Athenaeum in March 1827.
