Two letters from John W. Sargent, interview (7 leaves) with Allie Barry, and corrections by John W. Sargent. Includes mention of her trip to America from Norway, changing her given name, working to repay the cost of her ticket, her job as cook at the Sargent Farm, the Sargent family, her husband, Patrick C. Barry, who was also foreman at Sargent Farm, canning and butchering, providing bedding and cooking for hired men, leaving Sargent Farm, Patrick's physical decline and death, her move to Fargo, N.D. Also includes an electrostatic copy of an 1898 map of Sargent Farm, indicating which crop was planted in each section with notes on actual acreage, a typed addendum and a clipping.
